Vicis Interimo Episode 119: Quarantine

Welcome to this week's episode... 119! This week we talk about the 2011 movie 'Quarantine'. We also do a brief mention of the movie 'Freddy vs. Jason', and wonder whether or not the horror genre is done presenting anything new. Our Laid to Rest segment is short this week, but we congratulate and thank last week's winner of our contest... of course the answer to the contest question was 'Radu'! smiley Be prepared for a long Garbage in/Garbage out segment as Lori talks about 11 documentaries she's seen in the last month ... Gray Matter, Motherland, Automorphosis, Grain Elevator, Atomic Mom, A Good Man, Bag It, Eat the Sun, Trimpin, The Dark Corner, and Dying for Everest... whew! smiley Some trailers are below, if interested! All are very good and recommended. This week's Crawling Chaos continues the discussion of 'crystal tears' as more information is found on the topic. Thanks so much for joining us!
Quarantine (2008) R - 89 minutes
While on assignment shadowing firemen, a Los Angeles news reporter (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) get trapped in a quarantined apartment complex with a vicious unknown killer. With all forms of communications cut, the news crew keeps the cameras rolling as they search for a way to escape rabies-infected zombies. John Erick Dowdle writes and directs this frenzied horror film that also stars Johnathon Schaech.
